  6. Experience with the Special Children

    Never have I experience, it would be that fun. I never really like kids before, especially they are far different from being normal. I don’t really know what to expect. I was just standing there, staring at the kids like they are some kind of lunatic. Seriously, I really don’t know how to handle them. I never experience holding a kid before aside from a sibling or two. I was overwhelmed. It’s different from what I expected, the kids we’re people like us but its just that they are special. The first day we went there I really don’t know what to do. I was feeling excited and scared at the same time. Since it was my first time to go there, I was just standing there like really standing and doing nothing, I have no idea what to do.I heard my classmates that some of them are capable of hurting people, though I know they don’t really know what they are doing, I still kept my distanced from a girl named Amirah. I was really scared of her. She would hurt her classmates or even mine. Aside from her, everything that happened there are all great. They welcomed us warmly though some of them can’t speak they would come up and hug us. We assisted the children. Help them to clean up and brush their teeth. It was Thursday then. Friday came, the group that was assigned 8 person more. Teacher Lucy was choosing the 8 person. I beg her to choose me, like really beg her. Then she chose me. I was happy then. So we went there for the second time. I wasn’t just standing there anymore like I did yesterday. I was waving back at them and asking them if they miss me. I was happy seeing them again. I don’t understand myself. I thought I hated kids, because they are talkative thus annoying. I guess you hate your own kind. Most of the people are making fun of them, because they think it is something people should laugh at. But I tell you, those kind of people can love people around them. Though sometimes they hurt each other we just need to trained them and love them. Somehow those kids managed to crawl towards my heart, have space there, and stay there for like always. This was just one of my experiences that would stay in my memory until I die. And I’m not exaggerating anything. I wrote this from my heart, thought you would think I’m lying because I’m not the serious type of person. Anyway, I promised myself, when I grow up I want to help those kind of children. I will really do my best to keep my promise. :*
